Become a Positive Discipline Parenting Educator

Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way (developed by Lynn Lott and Jane Nelsen) provides a step-by-step approach to facilitating powerful parenting classes or groups. This program stands alone or enhances any other parenting program that you might already use. The classes are facilitated using experiential activities, that reach the heart of participants and not just their heads. The classes are great fun and great learning!

Learning Objectives:

• Learn research based effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive and non-permissive).
• Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert.
• Gain practice with experiential activities that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding and be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
• Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes, and individual work with families.

• Positive Discipline Parenting Manual (with over 100 experiential activities!)
• Positive Discipline Book
• Parenting Tool Cards
